Signing Up: You Get a Working Warehouse Brain, Not an Empty Shell
What happens in the seconds after a new tenant clicks Create account, and why the first screen is not a blank catalog waiting for you to type.
An ITAD that signs up for a trial has a truck arriving on Thursday. It does not have an afternoon to type a service catalog, a certification list and a set of market categories into a new tool before it can receive a single pallet. The platform assumes the truck and prepares for it.
Signup is open
Self-service signup has been open since 5 September 2026, the start of the free trial period. /signup shows the form, the login page shows its Sign up prompt, and the public request-collection funnel on the website hands visitors over to the same signup once they decide they want an account rather than a one-off pickup.
What gets created
After your user account is created, ReVend saves the organization, administrator membership, access details and audit record together. Confirm your email through the signup link. If setup is interrupted, signing in again resumes it without creating a second organization. If ReVend cannot safely determine which organization belongs to you, setup stops with an explanation and Support can help. Revoked access is not restored by signing in again.
Your organization starts on the active Free package. Platform administration controls its modules, features and limits; the package name does not promise a fixed set of Core rights. Starter catalogs do not override those settings. When you first open the dashboard, you choose your own starting layout.
Return to the shared lot
If you arrive through a shared Auction lot link, sign in with your existing account or register your own organization. You do not become an employee of the seller. Registration, email confirmation, resending the email and password recovery keep the original lot destination. A used confirmation link or interrupted setup offers a way back through sign-in. The link is navigation context; your role, package and the lot access rules still apply.
The starter kit
The organization, however, does not land empty. Every new tenant receives the same starting configuration: 44 system services across six categories — logistics, processing, destruction, remarketing, compliance and financial — from collection and secure transport through software erasure, shredding and degaussing to settlement calculation and lease-return processing; 24 real ITAD certifications, R2v3 and e-Stewards among them; 22 market categories, thirteen main ones and nine sub-categories under networking and peripherals; 16 market filters for price range, status and manufacturer; one fee setting; 21 saved views spread across the Core lists, from inventory to invoices; and seven pallet formats, Euro to Gitterbox. The seeding is idempotent: running it twice adds nothing twice.
Not placeholders
None of this is lorem ipsum with a warehouse accent. The services and certifications are the reference rows the platform’s founder curated by hand from years in the trade; the market settings are the same set that existing tenants run on. A new tenant can rename, deactivate, reorder and extend all of it, and the system rows cannot be deleted by accident. It is a starting point that already knows what degaussing is.
Real from the first minute
A self-service signup creates a real tenant, not a demo one. Demo environments exist on the platform, but they are walled off from real trading: Market and Auction, the two places where tenants see each other, keep demo stock and real stock on opposite sides of the fence. Your trial inventory is yours, your listings are real, and nobody’s sample lot will show up in your search results. It’s not a sandbox. It’s a warehouse with the lights on.
