ReVend exists because complaining about your tools eventually stops being cathartic and starts being embarrassing. We crossed that threshold in 2024.
Why we exist
The ITAD industry is a real industry.
It deserves real software.
You process billions of euros worth of equipment every year. You handle sensitive data. You answer to compliance regulators. You operate complex logistics. And yet most of you run on systems that were either built for something else entirely, or built in-house by someone who has since left the company.
We've seen the custom FileMaker databases that cost €50K every time you need a new field. The ERP implementations where “ITAD module” means “we renamed the warehouse screen and added a checkbox.” The in-house .NET application that only one developer understands, and he's been “about to retire” for three years.
None of these are terrible. Most of them work. But they don't talk to each other, every change costs a small fortune, and the person who built them is either gone, expensive, or both. Meanwhile you're explaining to your ERP vendor — again — that a “product” in ITAD is not the same as a “product” in retail, and no, you can't just “use the standard module.”
The team

Our founders and advisors have spent years inside the ITAD industry. Not observing it. Not consulting on it. Standing in it. The warehouses, the grading arguments, the compliance audits that never end, the trade shows where everyone agrees the tools are terrible and nobody does anything about it.
We've watched operators rebuild the same workaround in three different systems because none of them talked to each other. We've seen deals fall apart because the stock list was three weeks old and nobody noticed. We've heard “our system can't do that” so many times it stopped being an explanation and started being a diagnosis.
ReVend is what happens when the people who understand the problem decide to stop waiting for someone else to solve it. It's also what happens when those people discover that building software is significantly harder than complaining about it. We're past the humbling phase. Mostly.
What we believe
Opinions we hold strongly.
Operations come first.
You can't sell verified inventory if nothing verified it. You can't prove compliance if nothing recorded it. Core isn't a feature — it's the foundation everything else stands on.
Integration isn't optional.
An inventory system that doesn't know about erasure. An erasure system that doesn't know about grading. A sales tool that doesn't know about either. This is how the industry works today. It shouldn't be.
Grading is a language, not a label.
When "Grade A" means something different to every company in the chain, it means nothing. Standardised, structured grading is the foundation of trust in used IT hardware. We treat it that way.
Your data is yours.
We host it in Europe. We protect it properly. We don't lock it in. If you want to leave, you can export everything. We made it easy to leave because we're confident you won't.
Software should ship, not stagnate.
Your in-house system gets updated when someone has budget. Your vendor's tool gets updated when they feel like it. ReVend ships continuously. The platform you use in December is better than the one you started with in July.
