Settlements Page: Payout Rows, Fee Rows, and the CSV Finance Actually Wants

The finance view of every escrow money movement your tenant is party to — what the totals mean, what a row carries, and how a bank batch gets registered.

Finance teams don’t want to navigate per-deal pages to figure out the month. They want the totals, the rows that still need attention, and an export they can paste into the close. /finance/escrow-settlements is built around exactly that, and around nothing more.

Who sees it

Administrators, managers and finance users. Every other role gets the same explanation page as for the rest of the finance module — escrow money is protected the same way invoices and margins are.

The KPI strip

Three amount cards and two counters. Seller payout totals, platform fee totals and buyer refund totals, each shown per currency — a tenant paid in euros and dollars sees two lines in the card, never one blended number. Next to them, the count of pending rows and the count of failed rows. Pending is work waiting for finance; failed is work that came back. There is no dispute rate and no resolution time here; those are compliance numbers, and this is a cash page.

What a row is

Rows are created when an escrow is released, refunded or split — one per money movement. The types: seller payout, platform fee paid by buyer, platform fee paid by seller, buyer refund, plus two correction types: seller payout adjustment and settlement adjustment. Each row carries its amount and currency, a status of pending, processed or failed, the bank reference once registered, and — for corrections — the source invoice or credit note and the impact it carries. The monthly summary groups the same rows by month so a trend is visible without a pivot table.

Registering the batch

After the agreed bank execution outside ReVend, an active administrator, manager or finance user records the pending payout, refund or eligible adjustment rows as processed, with the bank reference. A batch contains positive amounts in one currency and only escrows your organization is party to. Platform-fee rows are excluded. The seller can also handle an individual credit-note correction: processed with a bank reference, or failed with a reason of at least twenty characters.

The complete selection and required audit are saved together. If one row is no longer eligible or recording fails, the whole operation rolls back. Sending the same input again is safe; a different reference or decision does not overwrite an earlier registration. Current permissions are checked when saving, and impersonation blocks the action. This records external bank execution; it does not send a payment.

CSV export

The export takes the full filtered set — not just the visible page — and writes an activity event saying who exported what. Month-end close, VAT reporting, the reconciliation somebody does every cycle: same file, same columns, traceable download.

The fees page is something else

/escrow/fees is not a breakdown of fee revenue by category or counterparty. It is the read-only display of the platform fee rule with a sample calculation, so a tenant can see what a deal costs before closing it. The settlements page tells you what you were charged; the fees page tells you why.
